The WSCC Emotional Well-Being Learning Collaborative
Cohort 3 2024-2025


The National Initiative to Advance Emotional Well-Being in K-12 Education launched its third cohort of the WSCC Learning Collaborative aimed at advancing health through improving emotional well-being. Five states/entities successfully competed to participate in the collaborative:
Bureau of Indian Education
Colorado
District of Columbia
North Carolina
South Carolina

The goal of the learning collaborative is to promote the emotional well-being of children and adolescents in schools through professional development, technical assistance, training, resources, and implementation support. This one-year learning collaborative will also elevate youth voices by engaging youth as collaborative leaders in advancing emotional well-being through the Youth Leadership Academy.
Participating state and districts will receive:

Intensive training in Comprehensive School Mental Health, Social Emotional Learning, and Health.

Monthly Community of Practice sessions for state and district teams.

Youth Leader Engagement through training and technical assistance.

Ongoing technical assistance and training from national experts.

Participation in a national community of districts engaged in continuous quality improvement.

Youth Leaders will receive:

Intensive training in comprehensive school mental health and social emotional learning.

Monthly Action calls to learn leadership skills.

Support from national experts and district leaders to design and implement goals to advance emotional well-being in their district.

Compensation for their time and efforts.
